"Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X"

So, usually I don't like to bust out and be all,

But there *is* a new one with some really preliminary info released as of today, and it happens to excite me--because you know I personally love the older games in the series:


"Tales of Phantasia x Narikiri Dungeon"

Pronounced "Tales of Phantasia cross Narikiri Dungeon"

So far, people seem to be saying it is a remake of Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon for GBC (http://www.tales-central.com/generalinfo/nariduninfo.html). I am personally *very* much looking forward to this one, and despite the "I'm sick of remakes" mindset within the "Tales of..." fanbase in the series lately, I would be even more ecstatic if this is a remake.

You missed one key bit of info, Clesstahn...it is both ND1 AND ToP with a new battle system on one UMD!

I mean I know Namco loves to remake ToP but [Censored]...twice on one system? I can't wait though, I've been waiting for ToP with a better battle system, I mean just look at the screen in the corner of the scan! It looks awesome (and clearly it's ToP since there's no Mel or Dio)

Eh? If you look at the second and third screens down, on the three smaller screens on the left (the one that says "Shinobi" or "Ninja" in Japanese), you can clearly see Mel and Dio's faces at the bottom as if they're in the battle, with Cless and Mint's faces, too.

Yeah but it's both Narikiri Dungeon 1 and ToP, both games remade.

EDIT: The picture I'm talking about is the one below the characters. It shows Cless, Mint, Klarth and Arche in it.

This is cool and all...but I would have preferred a remake of ToP on either ps3 or 360.

(btw you ever noticed? Half his forms there look REEEAAALLY similar to Pokémon? I see a look-a-like Eevee, Kangaskhan, Sandslash, Spearow, Geodude, Seadra, Chansey, Omanyte, Krabby, Dratini....then one that looks like Augomon(sp? was never into Digimon)...Kabutops, Rhyhorn... )

Another ToP remake? It's a good thing that I didn't buy the FVE of ToP then. I do want to see the Narikiri Dungeon game--that one sounds interesting.

I gotta amend an assumption I made earlier:

It's titled "Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X", and pronounced "Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon Cross".





Logo images aren't that great, I know--but ah well. It's a pretty design, is it not?

I am so--SO excited about this, particularly the Narikiri Dungeon side--I am excited to see new costume designs .

And as far as the Phantasia side of things--they're using all of the same sprites from the Playstation version of the game, except for new battle sprites for the main characters. Also, looks like there's no spell-pause anymore.
